Here you will be able to search transactions approved by the Attorney General including plans of dissolution (Dissolution) and sales and dispositions of assets (NPCL 510/511). Approvals made by court order are available from the court clerk and approved certificates are available from the Secretary of State’s office and will not be found here. Scroll below the search results to learn more about what is and is not available.



What is available in this database:

  • Not-for-Profit Corporation Law (NPCL) sections 510/511 Sales and Dispositions of Assets: If a transaction has been approved by the Attorney General pursuant to NPCL 511-a, rather than the court, a copy of the Approval is available on this site.
  • Dissolutions: If a plan of dissolution has been approved by the Attorney General, rather than the court, a copy of the Approval is available on this site.

What is not available in this database:

  • NPCL 510/511 Sales and Dispositions of Assets: Transactions by not-for-profit corporations that are approved by the court are not posted on this page. A copy of the court order is available from the court clerk.
  • Religious Corporation Law section 12 Sales, Mortgages, Leases: Transactions by religious corporations for the sale, mortgage or lease of real property are approved by the court. A copy of the court order is available from the court clerk.
  • Dissolutions: Attorney General approval of the certificate of dissolution. A copy of the certificate of dissolution is available from the Secretary of State.
  • Mergers: Approvals of mergers by the Attorney General or the court. A copy of the certificate of merger is available from the Secretary of State. If a merger received court approval, a copy of the court order is available from the court clerk.
  • Certificate Amendments: Attorney General approval of a certificate amendment is not posted on this page. A copy of the amended certificate is available from the Secretary of State.
