First-year

Admission to AMDA is on a rolling basis with 3 terms available per year (Spring, Summer, and Fall Semesters). After completing your free application, carefully review and follow the admission requirements at www.amda.edu/admissions#req for your desired program. Auditions may be done in person, virtually, or via self-tape video submission. The minimum GPA required for admission to AMDA is 2.0 out of 4.0 or its equivalent in other grading systems. Final official high school transcripts must be submitted to AMDA prior to your enrollment.

Transfer

For students who began their education at another institution, AMDA offers the opportunity to transfer credits into any BFA or BA Degree Program (located at the Los Angeles Campus). Students may submit up to 30 General Education credits for consideration. After completing the Conservatory program in New York City, degree-seeking students can then transfer credits into their program in Los Angeles. Auditions may be done in person, virtually, or via self-tape video submission. Final official high school and college transcripts must be submitted to AMDA prior to your enrollment.
