Cake Discrimination

A court in Colorado ordered Masterpiece Cakeshop to pay $500 to a transgender woman for refusing to make a birthday cake for her that also reflected her transition from male to female. The court ruled the defendants violated Colorado’s Anti-Discrimination Act’s prohibition against “discrimination in a place of public accommodation.”
