Gunmen raped six women for two days in the Taradona area south of Saraf Omra in North Darfur.

A relative of the victims told Radio Dabanga that the gunmen attacked the six women and their two children, when they were collecting firewood on Friday. They locked them up at gunpoint and repeatedly raped all six women on Friday and Saturday.

He said that they filed a report at the Saraf Omra police.

He added that local security forces tried to pursue the perpetrators near the crime scene, but they did not manage to arrest any of them.
