Entry pathways

If you don’t meet the entry requirements for your chosen Deakin degree, it doesn’t mean you have to miss out. We have many different pathways that can help you get to where you want to be.

On-campus pathways

Deakin College and the Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI) are located on Deakin’s campuses in Melbourne and Geelong. These on-campus pathway options offer top quality programs that can help you meet the entry requirements of your chosen degree.

Choosing to study at Deakin College or DUELI means that you will be a part of the Deakin community, and have access to all of Deakin’s on-campus facilities and services before you start your degree.

Deakin University English Language Institute

Studying at Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI) will give you the English language skills you need to start your Deakin University degree. If you meet the academic requirements for your degree, but not the English language requirements, then you are automatically eligible for placement at DUELI.

DUELI offers a range of course options and is located on both the Melbourne Burwood Campus and Geelong Waterfront Campus.

At DUELI, I actively communicated with people from different countries by using what I learnt in DUELI classes. I improved a lot in my English and made many friends who come from different cultures, expanding my ways of multicultural thinking, which built a very solid foundation for my study at Deakin University.

Box Hill Institute of TAFE (closest to Melbourne Burwood Campus)

The Gordon (closest to Geelong Waterfront Campus)
