News: A March 30 story about the city of Rochester's credit rating misstated the current rating. It is A2 with a stable outlook, revised up from a negative outlook

July 2020

News: A July 14 column about the Times-Union was updated to clarify George Beahon's role in helping Jim Memmott learn how to save money.

June 2020

News: An earlier version of a caregiving story on June 27 misidentified a dwelling. The mother of Jackie Dozier resides in a senior independent living apartment building.

News: This column has been updated to correct an error regarding Leigh Rubin's relationship with RIT.

News: This story, first published Sunday, May 3, included the wrong amount of total test results. That number was corrected and other numbers were been updated to reflect Monroe County's report from May 3.

April 2020

News: A story on April 10 should have stated that the term “incubation period” meant the time between when a person contracts the virus and the point when he or she first shows symptoms. For the coronavirus, the maximum incubation period is usually defined as two weeks.

March 2020

News: An earlier version of a March 28 story about latest coronavirus cases in Monroe County stated that two girls under the age of 10 have tested positive for the coronavirus. February 2020

RocRoots: A Black History Month story on Feb. 11 about the doctor for whom the Jordan Health Center is named included an incomplete job title for Greer Gladney. January 2020

National: A story on Page 6A on Jan. 13 had the incorrect first name for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Sports: The first name of Iala Cropper was spelled incorrectly in a list of athletes who received All-Greater Rochester honorable mention for girls swimming and diving on Page 11D of the Jan. 12 edition.

Crossword: In a special section Sunday that was available only for home-delivery subscribers, the solution to Barred Crossword #3 was incorrect. The correct answers were provided.

News: A story and caption on page 3A on Jan. 28 misspelled the name of Nazareth College President Daan Braveman.

December 2019

Sports: Quotes by Pittsford Mendon runner Sam Lawler were incorrectly attributed in a story published on Nov. 23.

Sports: The Pittsford girls swimming team's 200-yard medley relay team won a state public school championship on Saturday, giving Meghan Deuel three championships at the state meet and 12 for her career. Linnea Braun, Sarah Cooper and Nora Smillie swam on the relay team with Deuel.

Life: The name of the Sweet Potato Pie Factory & More was changed to The Sweet Potato Pie Place, which was not reflected when the story was initially published online.

Sports:  Hobart defeated Brockport 33-7 in a college football game on Saturday. The score was incorrect in the scoreboard on Page 2D on Saturday and Sunday.

August 2019

Arts: A photo caption about Summer SoulFest headliners Bell Biv Devoe misspelled the group's name on Page 1C on Aug. 18.

Life: The Lunar Land film series "Dish" included an incorrect date. The event is 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. July 11 at the Penfield Public Library.

May 2019

News: A May 30 story about Scout leaders accused of sexual abuse contained an incomplete description of allegations against Robert Casanzio, an Irondequoit man arrested in an undercover operation in 2009. Life: Weekend magazine included an incorrect address and website for the Red Wings.  The address is 1 Morrie Silver Way and the website is redwingsbaseball.com.

News: A quote from Michael Sippel in a video at his trial on an assault charge was reported inaccurately on May 21. News: An article about the Gannett Foundation’s A Community Thrives grant program misstated in one instance the geographic area served by nonprofits chosen to raise funds as part of the initiative. Life: A story that appeared on Feb. 27 incorrectly identified Chander Sud as a partner at India House. He is no longer affiliated with the restaurant.

News: A Feb. 10 wire photo of Alexander Graham Bell ran incorrect information in the caption. Bell invented the telephone.

News: A Feb. 5 RocRoots Remarkable Rochester column had an incorrect first name of a former Democrat and Chronicle managing editor.
