Getting Started
 
1. Choose an arts activity to do at home.
The Creative Challenges have been provided by local artists using materials that you should be able to find at home.
2. Complete the Arts Award Log Book.
Complete a simple form to show what you have learned about art through doing your Creative Challenge.
3. Record what you have been doing.
You can use whatever materials you like to record your activities; writing, drawing, painting, taking photos - just get creative and take photos of what you make for your certification.
4. Send off for your certificate
When you have completed all 3 parts of Discover at Home and gathered together your evidence e.g. photos and log book, you are ready to claim your official Arts Award Discover certificate from Trinity College London. You will need an adult to help you with this stage and to make the payment of £6.00 to cover the cost of your official certificate and postage/packing*

Arts Award – Discover at home
Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification that helps young people aged 5 – 25 to explore their creative skills, and to develop as artists and arts leaders. Arts Award offer a range of awards for children and young people that gets them involved in and excited about arts and culture and celebrates their creative achievements.

What is Discover at Home?
Discover at Home is a special on-line version of Arts Award Discover, the first level of Arts Award.
It is aimed at children aged 11 and under (or anyone under 25 with additional needs). Arts Award Discover at Home is a fantastic way for children to be rewarded for the creative activities they enjoy.
 
Encouraging children to
 
  • take part in arts activities
     
  • find out more about an artist or arts organisation
     
  • share their arts discoveries
 
It’s a great option for parents & carers who may be looking for something different to keep children engaged and entertained.

How to claim your certificate
Once you've completed the challenge and documented it, you can apply for your certificate from Trinity College London.

Terms and Conditions Photos submitted will be used solely to verify completion of the activity and will not be used for any other purpose. Photographs will be deleted after a period of time/verification. Any data we collect, including information about gender and ethnicity, is held temporarily and securely and forwarded only to Trinity College for the purposes of administering Arts Award certificates. All sensitive information is deleted from our systems as soon as your certificate is delivered. Trinity College Data Protection Policy is here.
