Virtual International Authority File (VIAF)
- Launched: 2003
- Objective: VIAF combines several authority files in an authority data service hosted by OCLC. The aim of this service is to increase the use of library authority data while reducing costs by merging and linking commonly used authority data and thus making the data accessible online.
