We are glad to introduce Enrico Formenti, from Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis (now Université Côte d’Azur) as the new Editor-in-Chief of RAIRO-ITA. He replaces two of the current Editors-in-Chief; Dr. Olivier Serre and Prof. Christian Choffrut will retire from their editorial duties, while Dr. Sylvain Périfel will remain as co-Editor-in-Chief for a transition period of one year.

Professor Formenti, author of more than 100 scientific publications, is currently an ‘exceptional class’ professor at the Université Côte d’Azur. He began his career by defending his PhD at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon in 1998. Since 2003, he has been working as full professor at Université Nice-Sophia Antipolis and, since 2019, he has been getting more and more involved in generative art where he explores the interactions between art, population dynamics and tilings.

“We welcome Professor Formenti to the RAIRO-ITA editorial team and look forward to his leadership alongside Dr. Sylvain Périfel. He joins at an exciting moment just as RAIRO-ITA transitions to open access under Subscribe-to-Open (S2O).” Anne Ruimy, Senior Editor, EDP Sciences

We would like to thank Dr. Serre and Prof. Choffrut for their contribution to the journal’s development. We hope that Prof. Formenti, with the help of Dr. Périfel, will continue to develop RAIRO-ITA, using his extensive experience as Associate Editor for a number of international journals.

RAIRO-ITA publishes original research papers of high scientific level in the area of theoretical computer science and its applications. For more information read the Publisher’s Note or browse the website.
