FEPL was established in 1991 as a volunteer, non-profit society which promotes awareness of the public library with the community, seeks community involvement in the activities of the society, acts as an advocate for the community’s library interests and raises funds for projects in support of EPL and for activities of the society in support of the library community.
The Friends of the Edmonton Public Library (FEPL) was established in 1991 with a mission to promote public interest in the Edmonton Public library through social, cultural and fundraising activities.
Following the election of an entirely new FEPL Board of Directors in January, 2019 and a strategic planning session held in April, 2019, FEPL are currently working on plans to bring the next chapter to life.
Please stay tuned for more events and activities to be announced later this year.
We are looking for individuals who would like to become involved in the next chapter of FEPL and support the Edmonton Public Library in both raising funds and general advocacy. We’re very excited about what’s to come, and would love for you to be involved in shaping the future of this initiative! Please e-mail us to join the interest list.
