This includes the obtaining, holding, using or disclosing of such information, and covers computerised records as well as manual filing systems and card indexes. The EASS will hold the minimum personal information necessary to enable it to perform its functions. All such information is confidential and will be treated with care, in order to comply with the law.

If you would like us to supply you with a copy of any personal data which we hold about you, please let us know. You are entitled to receive this information under the Data Protection Act 1998 ('the Act').

We will endeavor to respond promptly and in any event within 40 days after the date of the latest of the following:

  1. Our receipt of your subject access request and identification; or
  2. Our receipt of any further information which we request from you, as required by us to enable us to comply with your subject access request.

If you are considering making a subject access request please complete our online form selecting ‘Data Protection’. Please be clear on what information you would like and remember to include your reference number, name, address and postcode. If you are unable to complete the form online please contact a member of our helpline team.

You will also need to send a copy of your personal identification like a driver’s license, gas or electricity bill, in other words it must have your name and full address on it.
