The Evening Standard announces new partnership with Mediaforce for representation outside of London.

The Evening Standard, London’s most iconic news brand, today announces a new partnership with Mediaforce to deliver representation for digital and print media sales beyond London-based agencies.

Following a competitive pitch process Mediaforce has been appointed in line with the digital transformation strategy in place at the Evening Standard. The Evening Standard will join Mediaforce’s 1XL advertiser proposition to deliver an increased focus on digital and cross-platform advertising to the brand’s digital audience residing outside of London, which now makes up two thirds of its online audience. This will be achieved through at-scale location-targeted display and content campaigns in premium quality news media environments.

The partnership with Mediaforce will commence on July 1st with an immediate transition from incumbent More Media. The Mediaforce team will work alongside the Evening Standard commercial team to deliver the highest-quality service levels to agencies located in Manchester, Scotland and across the UK.

James White, Commercial Director of the Evening Standard said:

“We are excited to be working with Mediaforce as we increase our acceleration across all of our digital platforms and products. We will also be consolidating and bouncing back big in print at a pivotal time for the capital and our brand. Mediaforce has impressive infrastructure, excellent scale across the regions and there is huge potential for incremental value added to both our businesses. More Media have been an efficient and impressive partner and we wish them well for the future.”

Scott Gill, Commercial Director for Mediaforce said:

“We are thrilled to have been chosen by the Evening Standard to develop digital and print advertising revenues across clients and agencies managed from our Manchester and Edinburgh offices. The Evening Standard is an iconic media brand driven by a highly regarded commercial team that we are very excited to become part of. We are looking forward to leveraging our presence and established scale to deliver results for the Evening Standard at this pivotal time.”
