Gladys L. Zoellick, 90, of Timber Pines in Spring Hill FL, passed away on September 5, 2013. A Timber Pines resident for 31 years, she and her husband William T. Zoellick were previously long time residents of Naperville IL. Mr. Zoellick predeceased his wife in 1995. Mrs. Zoellick was born May 1923 in Chicago and graduated from Chicago's Morgan Park High School. She and her husband, also a graduate of Morgan Park HS and a 40 year employee of Illinois Bell, wed in 1945 after he completed service in the Army during World War II. The Zoellicks were members of Bethany Lutheran Church in Naperville IL. Upon moving to Timber Pines, they became early members of Forest Oaks Lutheran Church in Spring Hill FL and were active in the growth of that congregation. Mrs. Zoellick was also active in church crafts, the Timber Pines garden club, and Hernando county politics. She will be remembered for her quick sense of humor and her strong loyalty to family and friends. Survivors include two sons, William N. Zoellick of Prospect Harbor Maine and Robert B. Zoellick of McLean Virginia, one granddaughter, Rachel Zoellick of Crockett, CA, and a brother Fred Lenz of Spring Hill. A younger brother, Floyd Lenz of Indiana, predeceased her. She will be interred at Chapel Hill Gardens South, in Oak Lawn, IL with her husband. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to The Forest Oaks Lutheran Church Beautification Fund or HPH Hospice in Brooksville, FL.
