This book was Excellent up until the very end, when it took an odd unrealistic turn. I'd rate it 4.5. So close to a 5.

Set in South Africa during the 1970's this story is told from two points of view - one is Beauty, a Xhosa woman whose is desperately searching for her daughter who has gone missing in the Soweto uprising. The other is Robin a 10 year old white girl whose parents have recently died and is living with her aunt. Through a series of events Beauty becomes Robin's nanny and their lives are changed. I really liked this book and enjoy the way the author writes. The only issue was I felt like the ending
