About Westfield Court
Westfield Court is the newest and most exciting development on campus specifically designed for student life. With contemporary living and social spaces and a wide range of accommodation options, it has everything you need to complete your student experience.
Conveniently located close to the heart of the campus, it's just a few minutes’ walk away from all the study, social and leisure facilities.
Westfield Court caters for first year undergraduate and postgraduate residents in addition to a thriving community of returning students staying into their second and third years.
The accommodation is conveniently located within a short walking distance to lectures and our award-winning library. There are also a variety of places to meet with friends on Campus such as the state of the art Sport and Fitness Centre, recently refurbished Middleton Hall and the Asylum nightclub which is a popular student spot.
On-campus accommodation is single person only and there is no on-campus provision for families.
The University does not offer childcare.
Shared bathroom
Campus houses (11 occupants)
Campus houses have an atmosphere of communal living with bedrooms arranged over 3 floors and residents sharing a spacious kitchen, lounge and dining area on the ground floor. There are 4 bedrooms on the first and second floors with a further 3 bedrooms on the top floor. Each floor includes two bathrooms with a shared WC on the ground floor.
4 bed flat with shared bathroom
The four bed flat features a shared kitchen, lounge and dining area, plus two bathrooms. The bedrooms are equipped with contemporary furniture and are ideal for students wishing to share with fewer people.
6 – 8 bed cluster flat with shared bathroom
The 6 – 8 bed cluster flat is similar to the 4 bed flat but rooms are, on average, a little smaller and the shared kitchen, lounge and dining area are used by more people. A bathroom is shared between two occupants.
En-suite
Standard en-suite room in cluster flat (3 – 8 occupants)
The standard en-suite rooms are arranged into flats of 6 - 8 and share a kitchen, living and dining area. Each bedroom is equipped with a 4ft double bed, fitted furniture; double wardrobe, shelving, desk, pedestal, chair, noticeboards and an en-suite bathroom.
Deluxe en-suite room in cluster flat (4 – 10 occupants)
The deluxe en-suite room has the same layout as the large en-suite, plus they are larger in size complete and have a seating area and a side table.
Studio flat (small, medium and large)
Each studio has its own private kitchenette and en-suite. Studios have ample storage space and are fully fitted with a double bed, workstation with desk chair, breakfast bar and stools, wardrobe, vanity unit and seating area. The studio is ideal for residents who would like their own facilities whilst also benefiting from the communal spaces provided.
1 bed flat
The 1 bed flats provide a separate bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and large vanity unit with an adjoining en-suite. There is a fully fitted kitchenette, dining area, work station and lounge space.
Amenities
There are plenty of spaces to study, socialise and relax. You will find a games room for playing pool, table tennis and retro computer games, two bookable music practice rooms as well as our music lounge for evenings spent around the piano. A big screen room, student lounge, laundrette and study hub are also included.
Car parking is available for blue badge holders only. Blue badge holders can also apply for a permit to park on campus.
