Experience

Walden is a veteran business and investing editor with more than 20 years running major titles and serving global media companies such as Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg and LinkedIn, where he was the company's first finance editor. Walden most recently served as the editor-in-chief of the workplace and HR/benefits brands for Arizent’s Employee Benefit News and Employee Benefit Adviser magazines, managing coverage of the future of work. Previously, Walden was LinkedIn’s senior news editor in charge of covering and building the company's finance and fintech coverage. 

Walden was the news editor for investing and technology coverage at Crain’s InvestmentNews and a founding editor of the Reuters Global Markets Forum online community. At Thomson Reuters, he also served as deputy editor of wealth and finance at Reuters, overseeing the wealth management, investment management and investment banking top news pages. Before that, he was a Reuters correspondent, covering structured finance, credit markets, distressed investing and trading in the corporate bond market. Walden started his career in New York at Bloomberg News as a corporate bond reporter, a U.S. Treasury/foreign exchange reporter and an emerging market reporter on the international desk.

Education

Walden received his bachelor of arts degree in international relations at Boston University, and his master of science degree from Northwestern University in journalism.
