The Women's Health and Action Research Centre (WHARC) is a registered non-profit organisation, committed to the promotion of women's reproductive health in sub-Saharan Africa. Founded in 1993, the centre' primary mission is to conduct multidisciplinary and collaborative research, advocacy and training on issues relating to the reproductive health of women. The centre pursues its work principally through multidisciplinary groups of national and international medical and social science researchers and advocates in reproductive health.
