Wisconsin Historical Society Publisher Description

Throughout the long history of the Wisconsin Historical Society Press, we have explored Wisconsin history topics in a variety of formats and styles, from booklets and research guides to the multi-volume reference book series. In recent years we have concentrated on creating books that appeal to a wider and more varied audience: lively narratives about interesting people and events; fresh and engaging exploration of well-examined topics; stories that speak to our regional community but also reach across borders to new readers. Our books for elementary and secondary students bring history to life for a new generation of readers as well. As we look ahead, the WHS Press remains committed to excellence in publishing and to engaging readers with fresh perspectives on the past. We believe that a deeper understanding of our past will help guide us in the future.
