Today, the U.S. Department of Justice Community Relations Service (CRS) launched a Spanish-language version of its website: . The site provides information in Spanish on the agency’s work and resources for community leaders, government officials, law enforcement, educational organizations, and other stakeholders to understand the services CRS offers.

On May 20, ICITAP partnered with the Costa Rica Judicial Investigations Department (OIJ) to deliver a webinar on the application of Lean Six Sigma process improvement in the forensic laboratory. ICITAP has supported two groups from the OIJ with training in Lean Six Sigma upon which several members of the laboratory obtained Green Belt status.
On May 19, ICITAP-Ukraine’s mission advisory team delivered an extremely detailed and well-organized presentation with tremendous graphics and videos to 152 interagency and international partners about ICITAP’s law enforcement assistance and security mission, covering the context, history, successes, challenges, and opportunities of ICITAP’s work in Ukraine.
Today we mark the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s groundbreaking decision in Brown v. Board of Education , when the Court declared that “separate but equal” was no longer the law of the land. We mark this occasion by reflecting on the promise of Brown and on our unfinished work to deliver on that promise 67 years later.
On May 17, the ICITAP-Kosovo mission reported that, during April 2021, the ICITAP Correction Intelligence Unit (CIU) team conducted virtual training focused on the Kosovo Correctional Service (KCS) mid and senior level leadership.
On May 16, the ICITAP-Somalia Mission awarded Certificates of Achievement and Completion of Training to select members of the ICITAP-mentored Somali Police Force (SPF) Police Information Unit (PIU).
