Undergraduate study awards and prizes

School of Pharmacy

We have four undergraduate courses in the School of Pharmacy and Bioengineering: 

  • MPharm (Master in Pharmacy) 
  • BSc in Pharmaceutical Science 
  • BSc in Bioengineering 
  • BSc in Cosmetic Science  

These prizes apply to all four courses individually i.e. there will be a winner for each prize, for each course. Awards will be announced at the end of the academic year.

Outstanding performance prize

Award type: Cheque
Amount: £50

TA comparison of first and final year overall performance. The student with the biggest positive difference in marks will be awarded the prize.

This prize will be announced at graduation.

Best research presentation prize

Award type: non-monetary

All final year students eligible for the award. The students complete a research presentation in their final year and the student with the highest mark will be awarded this prize.

Best Student Overall

Award type: Cheque
Amount: £50

The student with the highest overall mark at the end of their degree.

This prize will be announced at graduation.

Outstanding Performance Across the Year

Award type: Cheque
Amount: £20

A comparison of semester 1 and semester 2 overall performance. The student with the biggest positive difference will be awarded the prize. This applies to 1st and 2nd year students only.

Best Laboratory Work

Award type: non-monetary

The total of the marks associated with laboratory work. The student with the highest total will be awarded the prize. This applies to 1st and 2nd year students only.
