KUWAIT: Twenty one candidates registered for parliament elections yesterday, raising the total number of candidates to 260, including 23 women, since registration opened last week. Three candidates filed their papers in the first constituency candidates, including Salama Al-Asfour, Nawal Al-Musawi and Bassam Al-Jazzaf. Meanwhile, candidate Ibtisam Al-Ibrahim registered in the second constituency, while Ali Al-Fadhalah, Ibrahim Dashti and Abrar Al-Saleh registered in the third constituency.

In the meantime, five candidates registered in the fourth constituency, including Sayyed Hamza, Faraz Al-Daihani, Nayef Al-Rashidi, Anwar Al-Thafiri and Ahmad Mutlaq Al-Enezi. The fifth constituency had the largest number of candidates registering yesterday with nine, including Faisal bin Hethleen, Ahmad Musaed Al-Enezi, Hmoud Al-Khudhair, Khaled Al-Mutairi, Abdullah Al-Enezi, Khalaf Al-Failakawi, Yousuf Al-Majadi, Mubarak Al-Ajmi and Majed Al-Mutairi. The registration of candidates closes on November 4. Withdrawal of candidates will continue until one week before the election date set on December 5. - KUNA
