Lucas Kwan Peterson

Lucas Kwan Peterson is a former columnist and video producer for the Food section. His work at the Los Angeles Times has won awards from the James Beard Foundation, International Assn. of Culinary Professionals, Society for Features Journalism, Los Angeles Press Club and Best of the West. He produced and hosted The Times’ online food series “Off Menu” in 2019. Before coming to The Times in 2018, he wrote the New York Times’ Frugal Traveler column for nearly three years and hosted and produced more than 100 episodes of the food series “Dining on a Dime” for Eater. He is from Oak Park, Ill., and graduated from Williams College.
