The health and safety of our staff and patrons are of the utmost importance.
- Cleaning materials are available to clean computer stations or study areas before use.
- Hand sanitizer is available.
- Some materials like staplers and dry erase markers have been removed. Patrons should bring their own dry erase markers.
Changes to Hale Library Group Collaboration Rooms Policies
- Collaboration rooms on the first floor will have reduced capacity.
- Rooms must be reserved online; they cannot be reserved on site.
- You do not need to check in on the room monitors to keep your reservation.
- Reservations can be made up to one month in advance.
Access to Research
Several resources are available online for research materials and can be accessed remotely. Some resources will require users to log in with their K-State E-ID and passwords.
Librarians and staff are available by email, chat, phone or in person to answer research questions or to provide help with using online resources. Chat services are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For general questions, use our Ask A Librarian service

Teaching and Instruction
Librarians will continue to provide teaching support by collaborating with instructors. We feel it is especially important during this time of change that instructors encourage their students to reach out to the Libraries for research help. Access to Textbooks
K-State Libraries can scan chapters from our textbook collection and request chapters from other libraries as well. To maximize your chance of success, please request only those portions of books that you need.
To place a request for a chapter of a textbook, use the Interlibrary Loan request form
. We will work to get you a scanned copy either from our collection or another library.
You are welcome to return items to us at any of our library service desks or book drops or by mailing the item to us. A list of book drop locations and our mailing address can be found on our Returning Library Materials page
K-State Libraries' materials
: If you have a K-State Libraries item that is due, but you are not able to return it to us prior to the due date, you should try to renew that item online by logging in to your account
