Faculty Author Recognition
February/March
Each year, we honor University of Michigan faculty who wrote monographs published in the previous calendar year. Join us for this reception where you can chat with authors about their work, enjoy refreshments, and listen to brief remarks by an invited speaker.

Party for Your Mind
Before classes begin in the fall
Whether you’re new to U-M or a returning student, you’re invited to our annual Party For Your Mind to get more familiar and comfortable with the library as part of Welcome Week.
International Horror Film Fest
Halloween
Join us for our annual Halloween spectacular, where we screen frightening foreign-language movies from around the world — with English subtitles. We have movies running all day, and you can drop in for one or all of them. It’s free, and snacks are provided. Costumes optional.
Fall Book Sale
December
In this one day, 12-hour event each December, we sell thousands of gently used books, including duplicate or superseded titles and other books not needed for the collection. We often have maps, pamphlets, CDs, and DVDs for sale as well.
