Finding aids
The Mary Baker Eddy Library collections contain letters, manuscripts, photographs, objects, books, periodicals, and other materials. To assist researchers, our staff has generated the following list of finding aids and guides (below). These only outline the resources the Library offers.
Our collections are divided into three main areas:
The Mary Baker Eddy Collection
This collection comprises a variety of materials relating to Mary Baker Eddy, including her manuscripts, correspondence, printed materials, scrapbooks, and diaries.
Library Special Collections
This collection includes The Mary Baker Eddy Collection. It also holds many additional materials, such as historical files, photographs, art objects, and other artifacts.
Organizational Records of The First Church of Christ, Scientist
This is an active, growing body of material documenting many activities of The Mother Church and The Christian Science Publishing Society.
Portions of these collections are digitized and available to patrons on-site, in our research room.
For access to Eddy’s manuscripts, please visit mbepapers.org. This website is constantly adding new content. It currently includes annotated transcriptions and scanned documents from 1872 through 1885.
