Dr Emmanual Taban, who fled South Sudan to South Africa at the age of 16, and studied to become a doctor, shares why positivity has been the secret to his success. He speaks to News24 about his pioneering work in treating Covid-19, his new book 'The Boy Who Never Gave Up: A refugee's epic journey to triumph', and why anger is one of Africa's biggest problems. 

It was sheer positivity, says leading pulmonologist Dr Emmanual Taban, which carried him over the 18 months he travelled more than 4 200km from war-torn South Sudan to South Africa at the age of 16.
