Lloyd Burnard | Cricket SA's new dawn, on and off field, must be embraced

On Saturday, Cricket South Africa (CSA) will hold its long-overdue annual general meeting (AGM), where a majority independent board will be elected. 

It is a groundbreaking moment in the game's history and, hopefully, the beginning of an era of assured, transparent and responsible leadership that operates at all times in the best interests of the game and players. 

The road leading to this point has been one littered with man-size potholes that, at times, have threatened the very existence of professional cricket in South Africa.
