Sasha Bezzubov and Jessica Sucher

This collaborative team’s handsome color photographs of spiritual tourists in India invite a certain skepticism. Their subjects are Western devotees of various Eastern beliefs, many of whom have taken ascetic vows and utterly transformed their looks and their lives. They pose in saris and robes at ashrams, schools, yoga retreats, and, in the case of one American sadhu, in a cave. A white-robed man sits at the threshold of the Love-Peace-Happiness Cottage. Bezzubov and Sucher take no editorial stance; their work is, apparently, as sincere as their subjects’ faith. But true believers have an aura of blissed-out conviction that nonbelievers can’t help but challenge, and this show might test your patience. Through Dec. 23. (Cooney.)
