A cabby-Frank Whitz, of 2105 Mohegan Avenue, the Bronx, tells about an experience he had with a Southern talking soldier. The soldier wanted to go to Tenth Street, but he didn't know the number. He told the driver to proceed slowly. All of a sudden he sang out to stop, but the driver went a few feet turther in order to pass a hydrant, and as he did so the meter registered another nickel.
