Art Fair 14C brings together over 300 artists from the Garden State

After a successful debut in spring 2019, Art Fair 14C returns to the Jersey City waterfront for its second edition from February 21 to 23 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The second edition of Art Fair 14C will be held on two levels of the Hyatt Regency at Exchange Place and will showcase work from more than 300 artists.

Art Fair 14C gets it’s name from Jersey City’s exit, along with the old New Jersey joke “what exit?” The non-profit international art fair, created to strengthen and support the visual arts, features galleries and artists from all over the world.

Thousands of art lovers and collectors filled the two floors of exhibition space during last years show at the Hyatt Regency.

Art Fair 14C supports Jersey City’s reputation as an arts destination by strengthening galleries, increasing opportunities for artists and expanding the market for fine art.

Participating Jersey City galleries include Art House Gallery, Drawing Rooms, New Jersey City University’s Art Department, and Pro Arts. Artists from the Hudson County area that will be exhibiting include Loura Van Der Meule, Jake Miller, Johnathan Acheson, and Theda Stanford of Jersey City; Tim Daly of Hoboken; Alyssa Ki of North Arlington, and Joe Waks of Bayonne.

Among the international exhibits is one from Tokyo including work from Japanese artists Seiko Utsumi, Naoto Hashida, Takuya Kinoshita, and Nobuyuki Fukata.

The Hyatt’s eighth floor will feature 56 exhibition rooms and suites, where contemporary art can be viewed and purchased from local, national, and international galleries, organizations, and artists.

The ninth floor’s penthouse ballroom will serve as the site for the Juried Show, a showcase of visual artists that either live in New Jersey or have a studio in the Garden State. The hotel’s ninth floor also serves as the welcome center for the fair, the opening night party, and panel discussions.

Among those in the juried show are Allison Green, Anthony E. Boone, Auguste Rhonda Tymeson, Bryant Small, Cheryl Gross, Girgory Gurevich, Tyler D. Ballon, and Ken Huston all of Jersey City, Charlie Churchill of Secaucus, Donna O’Grady of Hoboken, Jada Fabrizio of Weehawken, and more

Friday’s show is VIP only and will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. The show is open to the general public on Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Tickets can be found for $10 at eventbrite.com/e/art-fair-14c-tickets-86837935603.
