These items seized during a raid on a home in Athens on Wednesday were stolen in several burglaries and auto break-ins, according to police.

Athens-Clarke detectives raided a house Wednesday and seized guns, ammunition, electronics, Bibles and credit cards that officers said were stolen over the past three months along South Milledge Avenue.

Police had obtained warrants to search the house and a vehicle at the location on Pineview Court, a street in a neighborhood off Milledge Avenue south of the Athens Perimeter.

Four guns — three reported stolen from autos — along with thousands of rounds of ammunition were found in the house, police said. Personal identification documents and financial cards belonging to about 25 people were also recovered.

Police arrested two Jackson County residents at the scene. Sabrina Raquel Bodie, 25, of Elrod Avenue, Jefferson, was charged with two counts of theft by deception and two counts of identity theft.

A 25-year-old Jefferson man was not charged in the investigation, but was arrested on a warrant from Oconee County. He was transported to the Oconee County Jail, where he was booked and released.

Police Detective Nathan Franco said he had earlier recovered a computer pawned in Athens and gathered information that Bodie was living in Athens, possibly on Pineview Court.

The detective located the home, found the couple’s vehicle parked there, and was able to determine the pair was subletting a room, according to police.

A stolen rifle was found in their vehicle as well as another gun that was possibly stolen, Franco said.
