Cheap Chick's Swap Sites For Savings

myfox9.com (TV) - 11/30/2010 by Erin Schneider
A Different Way To Shop For Books/CDs and DVDs This Holiday...Instead of saving on shipping and spending on books, get your books for free, and only pay for shipping. How? By swapping your old books for new with an online swap site, that’s how!

Paperback Swap.com – They claim to carry more than 4.8 million books, and have saved members over $22 million dollars. Here how it works:
Register for free (right now it’s free, subject to change). You’ll need a valid email address, mailing address and books to swap.
Then post the books you’d like to swap with other members. You’ll receive 2 free swap credits when you join, so you can choose your first 2 books for free.
Search the site for what you want, hit Order This Book, and the member who owns that book will ship it to you. You pay for shipping when you send out books, and NOT when you receive them (COD).
Paperback Swap.com has two “sister” sites – Swap A CD.com and Swap A DVD.com. CDs cost 49 cents a swap, and DVDs are free.
