FAQ About Mapping Routes

Q.
Why does the route planner get my home location wrong?

A.

The "Locate Me" feature in our route planner () identifies your location from your web browser. Web browsers use different approaches to determine your location, so the accuracy will depend on how accurate your web browser's geolocation method is. Unfortunately this isn't something we have any control over. Changing to a different browser can sometimes help. However, you can also save your home location as a bookmark and then use that to quickly locate the map instead. Take a look at our How-To Guide on using bookmarked places for more information.
