Tariff (effective 2 December, 2022)

The following table sets forth the range of per-employee fees charged by RightsDirect under its Multinational Copyright Licence for companies in each grouping of industries (as determined by standard industrial classifications).  Each industry in a grouping has a specified rate within the range.

Please note that these per-employee fees are charged for company employees located in The Netherlands and other countries of high gross domestic product per person.  Company employees located in countries with lower gross domestic product per person are charged at designated fractions of these per-employee rates in accordance with a “country schedule” applied uniformly to all licensee companies.

Royalty Distributions and Statutes

CCC’s general practice is to distribute pay-per-use royalties four times a year and royalties arising from repertory licenses twice a year. Pay-per-use royalties are paid out about 45 days after the end of the calendar quarter during which they are collected. Repertory royalties collected during January-June are paid in the following December, and repertory royalties collected during July-December are paid in the following June. Although European law permits the carry-over of royalties beyond this time, all non-de minimis royalty amounts are paid out by CCC on the above schedule.

Rightsholders who participate in CCC’s licence services, including the licences issued by RightsDirect, do so on a voluntary basis; either they or their authorized representatives execute individual agreements with CCC. Once such an agreement is effective, a standard provision of such agreements provides that the rightsholder or authorized representative that entered into the agreement with CCC may terminate it on six months’ prior written notice, effective at any time on or after the second anniversary of the agreement.

The statutes of RightsDirect as reviewed in 2011 are attached here (in Dutch).
