Audience Member Over 10 years old being one of my favorite sequels from the Disney Channel. This reunites much of the cast from the 2008 original hit including Demi Lovato, the Jonas Brothers, Meghan Martin, Alyson Stoner, and Marie-Canals Barrera with newcomers like Chloe Bridges, and Matthew MDot Finely. Mitchie Torres is excited to go back to Camp Rock with her chef mother but she notices a sign for a new summer camp set up called Camp Star. They’re more worried about being #1 in show business and being workaholics run by Axel Turner. Mitchie reunites with her camp mates and Connect3 band members including Shane. But after an invitation to see Camp Star perform with state of the art stage lighting and instruments it’s clear that they’re recruiting. Mitchie decides to challenge the rival camp to an event called The Final Jam, which will determine who’s the better of the two by public demand. Of course this puts her and everyone else in a difficult position worrying that Camp Rock might shut down forever and she’ll lose sight of her relationship with Shane focusing too much on winning. I’m happy to say this was so much better than the first movie. Better songs, catchier lyrics, bigger emotions and cooler new characters. The ending had me in tears. But it's one of the better Disney Channel original movies thankfully. Plus a big lesson that not every tune can be a hit. The song Can't Back Down in particular really resonates with what's happening with covid-19, it's true we as a people can't back down and ignore what's really going on, it's important to share the risk of every decision recognizing what's happening in our own backyards. Stinks they cut out a deleted solo number but this was miles better than the previous film. ‘Camp Rock 2’ is thankfully an improvement. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review Vincent P al menos tiene canciones buenas y bueno es decente la película mentira es aburrida y da gringe Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This sequel manages to keep the tone, humor, and overall message consistent to the original while adding emotional conflict to resolve. This time around minor characters get a bump in screen time equaling in great development. This film definitely adds a new perspective to the characters and the world they are in. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing. The songs are great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Best Disney Movie, really loved the singing and dancing and acting. Absolute Must See if you like Disney movies and musicals. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Much like it's predecessor, Camp Rock 2 is full of the typical DCOM specials, tween awkwardness and a lot of Kids Bop Pop. I do have to tip my cap to Disney for trying to go bigger but it ultimately, it did not pay off. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Andrew Ryan Globe and Mail Like the first film, Camp Rock 2 is squeaky-clean family entertainment. Sep 14, 2019 Full Review Jennifer Armstrong Entertainment Weekly While Camp Rock 2 might not have the cred of School of Rock or the subversive edge of Glee, it's a true pop song of a movie Rated: B Sep 13, 2019 Full Review Gretchen McKay Pittsburgh Post-Gazette While Camp Rock 2 seems to be cobbled together out of bits and pieces of other movies, the surprise is that it's pretty enjoyable Sep 14, 2019 Full Review People Staff People Magazine In the age of [Justin] Bieber and Glee, this musical starring Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers feels slightly behind the curve, but it's better than the first Camp Rock Sep 13, 2019 Full Review Ryan Cracknell Movie Views More like an infomercial in disguise for the soundtrack. Jan 1, 2011 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews An obvious improvement over its unwatchable predecessor... Rated: 2/4 Nov 19, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews
