Access for employees to their COSA email accounts.

Purpose

Provide internet browser access for employees to their COSA email accounts.

Email Services provide customers with efficient access to the following while off site:

  • COSA Email
  • Calendar
  • Email Attachments
  • Email Contacts

Who has Access

If you are a city Employee, you should be able to use your current Window’s account to log into Horizon View both at work and remotely. If you have issue logging in with your City account, please contact ITSD Service Desk. If you don’t have a City account, but need one, please contact your supervisor.

Ready to access Employee Email

Purpose

ESS is an online Portal that will enable COSA employees to access their important information through an easy-to-use web site.

Use the ESS Portal to:

  • Review pay stubs: pay stubs dating back to October 2004 are at your fingertips.
  • Check Leave Balances
  • Do Time Entry (note: applies only to employee who enter their own exception leave -- "self time employees")
  • Find colleagues throughout the City using the Employee Directory (Who’s Who)
  • Update your mailing address, phone number, and emergency contact information.
  • Self disclose your level of education—Help the City provide targeted professional development and ongoing continued education support to employees.
  • Print your own Employment Verification form.
  • Self disclose your race/ethnicity - Help the City maintain its records.

Note: If Using IE8/9 Need to enable Compatibility View -- Please Read Tutorial section. Avoid using the browser back button.

Access

By October 1, 2011 all City employees will have access to the ESS Portal. If you already have a Windows account; you should be able to use your current Window’s account to log into ESS.

Ready to access ESS Portal

Purpose

Self-Service Password Management allows COSA employees to reset their own Windows passwords. If you get locked out of your Windows account for any reason or need to reset your password, Self-Service Password Management allows you to reset your Windows password.

Who has Access

All COSA employees who have a Windows account can use the Password Manager Portal to reset their passwords.

Note
VPN (Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client) is only for COSA Issued Laptops all other users should be using Workspace COSA Desktop to Remote Work.

Cisco WebEx Meetings provides you with tools that help you collaborate with your contacts and colleagues efficiently. Here are highlights of what you can do:

  • Select Meet Now to start an instant meeting.
  • Select Schedule to schedule a meeting.

Ready to Teleconference

Purpose

Horizon View provides COSA remote access for employees to their COSA applications and Virtual Desktops. Horizon View is the replacement of Citrix.

Approved applications are efficiently accessible to COSA employees while off-site or on-site.

Horizon Client Installation Steps

Use of Horizon View will require VMware Horizon Client to be downloaded to the workstation you are using.
