Interactive maps of COVID-19 cases in San Diego County from March 2020 to June 14, 2021
Data are compiled from San Diego County. These maps and charts will not be updated after June 15, 2021.
Please note: County officials have repeatedly said that due to a lack of testing current case totals are a poor reflection of the region’s actual case totals. That means the numbers below only represent a fraction of actual COVID-19 cases across the county. The maps and analysis do not include cases where the ZIP code is unknown.
So far, an area of southern San Diego has 14,231 cases — more than any other ZIP code in the county. A ZIP code representing South Chula Vista ranks No. 2 with 11,355 cases, followed by northern Chula Vista with 9,258 cases.
Since the city of San Diego has logged the most cases, many of the neighborhoods at the top of the list fall within the city.
COVID-19 cases per 10,000 residents
Population data come from the San Diego Association of Governments, or SANDAG, and represent an estimate of total residents in 2018. Some ZIP codes represent P.O. Box or post office locations. The COVID-19 cases identified at these ZIP codes are not included in the map.
