Prince Faisal: Saudi Arabia stands in solidarity with India in facing COVID-19 challenges

JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan made a phone call on Wednesday to his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

During the call, Prince Faisal expressed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with India in facing the COVID-19 pandemic.

They also discussed bilateral relations, aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries, and regional and international developments.


Saudi Arabia’s show of support comes as India on Wednesday registered a record spike in coronavirus-related deaths over the last 24 hours, pushing its total fatalities past the 250,000-mark.

According to the federal health ministry’s figures, 4,205 more deaths were reported over the past 24 hours. — SG
