All you need to know about Keighley

Keighley is a town in Bradford, West Yorkshire, located roughly 11 miles from Bradford. It lies between the rivers Worth and Aire, in an area known for its villages and nature. The town has a population of more than 70,000 and is twinned with the following towns Manzini (Swaziland), Myrtle Beach (USA) and Poix-du-Nord (France). The town has a moderate climate characterised by cool summers and mild winters. Keighley began life as a small settlement and traces its origins back to the 11th century. In the 14th century, the town received a charter to host a market, and, in 1882 was incorporated as a municipal borough. The closest airport to Keighley is Leeds Bradford Airport, at roughly 10 miles away. Manchester Airport is the next closest airport and lies approximately 40 miles away.
