A Note from the Director: Carefully moving forward
September 7, 2021 Beginning Tuesday, September 7, 2021, library open hours expand to 9PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and our first pandemic-era foray into indoor programs takes place in mid-October as we host the Saratoga Book Festival.
Masks Required Inside the Library
July 29, 2021 Under new CDC guidelines for the prevention of community transmission of Covid-19, masks are once again required of all people inside the library building.
95% of Voters Say Yes to Proposed Library Budget
June 23, 2021 95% of voters in the June 17, 2021 budget vote and trustee election approved of the Library's proposed FY2021-22 budget. Frank Brady and Carol Daggs were elected to the Library's Board of Trustees.
Current Library Hours and Services
May 9, 2021 The library is now open seven days a week, on a modified schedule. Both the Henry Street and Putnam Street entrances are open, and indoor seating is available.
A Note from the Director: Committing to Action
July 15, 2020 Because our current health crisis is disproportionately affecting People of Color and working poor people, and given our present national reckoning with systemic racism, implicit biases, and unearned privileges, we are recommitting to fostering racial justice, socioeconomic inclusion, and human dignity by committing to undertake a review of policies, procedures, and practices in order to identify and eliminate barriers to service. Library Director, Ike Pulver, announces the first policy updates resulting from this process.
