Masks Required Inside the Library
Authored on Thursday, July 29th, 2021 at 4:56pm, updated July 29 at 4:58pm
Under new CDC guidelines for the prevention of community transmission of Covid-19, masks are once again required of all people inside the library building.
On July 27, the CDC issued new guidelines
for masking in order to help prevent the rapidly-increasing spread of Covid-19. That guidance recommended that fully vaccinated people wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial
transmission. According to CDC metrics
, Saratoga County has reached the substantial
transmission threshold as of July 29.
Accordingly, effective July 30, 2021, masks are once again required of all people – staff, volunteers, and visitors, alike – in all public and shared areas inside the library building, regardless of vaccination status.
Masks are currently not required for those attending outdoor library programs.
