Accessing the Collection
The Saratoga Room is located on the second floor of the Library. Staff are available to assist patrons whenever the room is open and by appointment.
Many of the items in the room are represented in the Library Catalog; items that are in the Saratoga Room will have an “S” at the beginning of the call number to indicate where they can be found. For some items and collections, links are available in the catalog records to outside resources for additional information and possible access to a digital form of the item.
Finding Aids are available for many of our manuscript collections and papers. Paper Finding Aids are available in the Saratoga Room; in addition to links in the Library catalog, searchable Finding Aids can be accessed through the Empire Archival Discovery Cooperative website, www.empireadc.org.
A number of images held in the collection have been digitized and are available on the New York Heritage website and the DPLA – the Digital Public Library of America.
