Airstrikes | Nearly 15 Iranian-backed militiamen of non-Syrian nationalities killed in intensive air raids targeting their positions in Al-Bukamal countryside

Reliable sources have told the Syrian Observatory that about 15 Iranian-backed militiamen of Iraqi nationalities were killed during rounds of shelling by unknown aircraft, targeting several locations in al-Bukamal countryside this morning.

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that unidentified jets carried out intensive airstrikes from 05:00 am Syria time to 09:00 am, targeting positions of Iranian forces and Iranian-backed militias in Imam Ali base, areas near Al-Sekka, and in Al-Bokamal desert in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The attack left several casualties and destroyed positions, bases and weapons warehouses.

“Military vehicles affiliated to the targeted forces have transported dead and injured militiamen to Iraq, while the Iranian forces in Al-Bokamal were put on high alert amassing more troops,” SOHR sources added.

SOHR activists repored earlier that a loud explosion rocked the Green Belt area, south of al-Bukamal city in Deir ez-Zor countryside, as a result of an airstrike by an unknown jet targeting an Iranian militia position there.
