Queen Rania and King Abdullah II of Jordan have wrapped up their visit to the US capital.

For five days, Queen Rania has attended meetings in Washington – solo and with husband King Abdullah II and their son, Crown Prince Hussein.

The visit has been a showcase in royal style. Making a statement in regional solidarity, she chose a red dress by Lebanese designer brand Bazaza, when she first stepped out with the US first lady Jill Biden last Monday.

Following their meeting, Queen Rania wrote on Instagram: "It was lovely joining US first lady Dr Jill Biden at the White House today. Her enthusiasm, warmth and compassion are a pleasure to behold!"

The trip wasn't only a showcase of Middle Eastern fashion, however. To meet Pfizer chief executive Albert Bourla on Tuesday, Queen Rania opted for a Chloe set in the shape of a sea-foam green blouse and wool trousers. Later that day, she attended a lunch hosted by Grace Nelson, wife of Nasa administrator and former Senator Bill Nelson, wearing an ivory Celine blouse and hot pink Valentino skirt.

The queen shared photos of the lunch, which was taken with "a wonderful group of inspirational women", on social media.

The following day, Queen Rania opted for an emerald Christopher Kane blouse with a white Gabriela Hearst skirt for a White House visit. On Thursday, she wore a white high-necked dress by Roksanda, the eponymous London luxury brand by the Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic, to meet Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi at the Capitol.

For her final day of meetings at the White House, she wore a red blouse with a pair of full-bodied black trousers.
