How to Donate to the United Nations System
Do you want to contribute to the World Health Organization's COVID-19 response, help refugees and migrants, support food delivery to countries in crisis, or help to protect the world's cultural heritage? You can do that by donating to the United Nations or its agencies that are dedicated to these causes. Find out how and where you can contribute by following the links below.
Donate to the United Nations System and its Agencies
COVID-19 Response
The United Nations System’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic is supported through several channels, including the first-of-its-kind Solidarity Response Fund and the Response and Recovery Trust Fund, as well as through the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF).
OHCHR
The UN Human Rights Office works to protect and promote the rights of everyone, everywhere. Support our efforts by making a donation or a tax-deductible contribution from the United States. Your donation can assist a victim of sexual violence to obtain justice, support the work of human rights monitors during elections, contribute to an investigation of a serious human rights violation or make a difference for human rights defenders.
OCHA Central Emergency Response Fund
CERF was introduced in 2006 as the UN’s global emergency response fund to deliver funding quickly to humanitarian responders and kick-start life-saving action whenever and wherever crisis hit. Ten years on, CERF has proven to be one of the most effective ways to provide time-critical assistance, including supplies, basic services and protection to millions of people in need.
UNRWA
Serving 44% of the world’s long-term refugees, UNRWA provides vital assistance and protection to more than five million Palestine refugees living in Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and the West Bank. Our mission is simple: to ensure that Palestine refugees, including the most vulnerable - women and children - can live their lives with dignity. Donate to support UNRWA’s mission to help Palestine refugees achieve their full potential, pending a just and lasting solution to their plight.
World Food Programme
Every donation provides more nutritious food for hungry children and families. Depending on the project you choose, you can help save lives during emergencies or give children nutritious meals in school.  WFP is 100% voluntarily funded, so every donation counts. Donate now and the World Food Programme will keep you updated on how your generosity is making a difference around the world.
United Nations Children's Fund
Join UNICEF in doing whatever it takes to save and protect the world’s most vulnerable children. With your donation, you’re working together with UNICEF for the survival, protection and development of children in more than 190 countries around the world.
The UN Refugee Agency
War, violence and persecution have forced millions of families from their homes. They urgently need shelter, protection and safety. You can help rush critical supplies like medicine, clean water, food and tents to desperate children and families. You can provide refugees with emergency support, long-term care and hope for the future.
UN Women
UN Women works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls, the empowerment of women, and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action, and peace and security.
UNESCO
UNESCO is a non-profit intergovernmental organization. Contributions to UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre—made by individuals like you—are used for projects implemented by experts to protect World Heritage sites around the world.
UNOPS
The mission of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is to help people build better lives and help countries achieve peace and sustainable development. UNOPS helps the UN, governments and other partners to manage projects, and deliver sustainable infrastructure and procurement in an efficient way.
United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)
Show your support. Your donation can help UNFPA deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled. You can make a tax-deductible contribution from the US
UNAIDS
With your donation we can help mobilize the resources required to: Ensure that mothers can protect themselves and their children from HIV; Help young people take leadership in the AIDS response so that services meet their needs; Support people living with HIV to access care and support; Empower women and girls to make their own decisions about their sexual and reproductive lives and become less vulnerable to HIV; Prevent stigma and discrimination, to ensure that human rights and dignity are respected and to ensure that everyone has equal access to HIV services.
International Organization for Migration (IOM)
IOM, UN Migration, works around the world to protect the safety, dignity, human rights and fundamental freedoms of all migrants, regardless of their migratory status, and at every stage of their migration journey. IOM helps countries in supporting, receiving and hosting migrants and refugees; and helps them start their lives afresh as well as integrate in their host communities. For those wanting to return to their homes and families, IOM facilitates the process of return, reintegration and family reunification. Your donation to IOM will help vulnerable migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, survivors of human trafficking, exploitation, and gender-based violence and those fleeing poverty, conflict and natural disasters. Help us help more
