'Staying Strong 365 Days A Year' by Demi Lovato. She has signed a multi-book deal with Macmillan imprint Feiwel and Friends.

Pop singer and X-Factor judge Demi Lovato has opened up about overcoming her troubled past before, and now she'll help fans stay strong with a book of daily affirmations.

The former Disney star, 21, has signed a two-book deal, publisher Macmillan announced Monday. The first is Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year, daily inspirational quotes inspired by Lovato's tweets, due out Nov. 19, and in Spanish on Dec. 3. A memoir will be released at a later date.

"One of the things that has helped me with recovery is taking every day one day at a time," Lovato said in the video announcement, posted Monday on the video hosting site Keek.

"I'm a firm believer in starting the day off the right way with inspirational quotes and sort of a morning meditation, so I've put together 365 of my favorite quotes and a morning meditation for everybody."

Lovato, who has been in show business since she was a child, once said she was suicidal at age 7 and has publicly faced struggles with addiction and depression. She's worked as an advocate for anti-bullying campaigns.

Her next role is on Glee, where she'll play a lesbian love interest for Santana (Naya Rivera).
