People give the ring finger after Ala. halts gay-marriage licenses

After a Montgomery County Probate Office in Alabama decided to stop issuing same-sex marriage licenses, some felt the state "just gave SCOTUS the finger."

Star Trek actor George Takei was leading the charge, asking people to respond to the decision by giving the other finger — the ring finger — in solidarity for gay marriage.

Twitter's hashtag #LuvUAlabama took off this afternoon as people voiced their discontents.

Folks from Oregon, New Jersey, California and other states across the USA put their fingers forward.
