Inside Prince William’s First Visit to Vietnam

The Duke of Cambridge touched down in Hanoi for the very first time today. And this isn’t a royal holiday, Prince William’s entrée into Vietnamese life and culture is on official business: He’s speaking at a conference focusing on combating illegal wildlife trade. William is the president of United for Wildlife, and before attending the conference, he also *discussed* the issues with the country’s prime minister and vice president.

Although Prince William’s journey is heavily focused on raising awareness for the animals, he also slotted in a few more activities, including a walk through Lang Ong Street, famous for traditional medicine, as well as a stop at a café and the Hong Ha Primary School to meet with children and talk about his cause (and of course, play a bit of football). Here, we take a stroll through the streets of Hanoi for the first time with Prince William.
