We find it unacceptable to sit by and do nothing as the children in our local communities are repeatedly abused and neglected day after day. Our role is simple. We tangibly love these children of abuse. They are easy to find. There are children's homes in every community across our nation... filled with children RIGHT NOW who are hurting and alone. We must go to them. Love on them. And let them know they are precious and they matter. Visit chicktime.com to find a chapter in your area. If one does not exist, setting up a new chapter is easy and we are here to help you.

To get started read through our short book to learn next steps. We welcome you to download a free copy:

About Chicktime

Location:

200 S. 10th Street, suite 1700, McAllen, TX 78501, US

Mission Statement

Chicktime exists to encourage women to develop their passions and use their gifts to make the world a better place for the next generation. We recognize that children are suffering from abuse and neglect in communities all across America and that it is up to us to help them heal.

Description

Chicktime is a movement empowering women to stop the cycle of child abuse by going into children’s homes (basically orphanages) and loving on the kids. We believe that if a child is convinced they are loved their wounds will heal and they won’t lash out when they are adults and repeat the cycle of abuse with their own children. We do this by setting up monthly activities with children living in children’s homes and encouraging women in the local community to come in and teach classes based on their passions. We invite volunteers to come in and play along with the kids during the activities acting as the fun aunt or big sister... just a way of bonding with them and showing them love through time and attention. The hope is that the volunteers will connect with the kids and find ways to come back and help out more with needs the children’s homes have. Chicktime is a gateway to start up the relationships.

"Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows in their troubles, and refuse to let the world corrupt us." James 1:27
