The Washington Football Team is on to kicker No. 4 this season. One day after Joey Slye suffered a hamstring injury during Monday night’s win over the Seattle Seahawks, Washington signed Brian Johnson, a former Gonzaga College High and Virginia Tech standout, off the Chicago Bears’ practice squad.

“It was something that we’ve been working on since last night,” Coach Ron Rivera said during a video conference with reporters Tuesday. “… We talked about it basically at halftime. I got the word out to our personnel department that we need to start looking and coming up with some kickers’ names. … That’s a guy that we believe we can bring in and have him be a part of what we’re trying to do while Joey heals up.”
